Joy, Ellie and Maye will share their top tips for new graduates and dietitians who want to pursue a career in the media, and also touch on some of their biggest challenges and triumphs in their careers to date.

Ellie Krieger, MS, RD, is well known from her hit Food Network show “Healthy Appetite.” She is also the host and executive producer of the cooking series “Ellie’s Real Good Food” on Public Television and a New York Times bestselling, IACP and two-time James Beard Foundation award winning cookbook author. She is a weekly columnist for The Washington Post and has also been a columnist for Fine Cooking, Food Network magazines and USA Today.  Ellie is a registered dietitian nutritionist who earned her bachelors in clinical nutrition from Cornell University and her masters in nutrition education from Teacher’s College Columbia University. Her latest book is Whole in One: Complete, Healthy Meals in a Single Pot, Skillet or Sheet Pan.

 

 

Maye Musk has reached success in the past 50+ years of her life in the nutrition and modelling fields. Maye has run her own nutrition business for over 45 years in eight cities and three countries through speaking, consulting, counselling, writing and media work. She has reached the peak in her field in three countries: the first Representative of the Consulting Dietitians of Southern Africa; President of the Consulting Dietitians of Canada; and Chair of the Nutrition Entrepreneurs, Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition. She also won the Outstanding Nutrition Entrepreneur Award in the USA. She was the first dietitian to be featured on a cereal box with her book, Feel Fantastic. She has been modelling since the age of 15 and had 4 billboards in Times Square in her 60s, probably a record. Maye gives presentations as an entrepreneur, fashion icon and nutrition expert to numerous corporations, associations, hospitals and universities.
