This presentation outlines the patient experience and outcomes of implementing a patient-directed bedside meal ordering solution in a specialised cancer care facility. The presenters will highlight how the adoption of technology to innovate foodservice, can engage the patient, and deliver a better experience and better outcomes for patients. In addition, they will share future plans of innovation to continue to deliver better outcomes to patients, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.

Jacqueline Black has worked at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for 7 years, initially as a nutrition assistant before securing a clinical dietitian role after completing her dietetic degree. Jacq was part of the team that implemented the new food service system with the relocation of Peter Mac in 2016. She now works part time as the Peter Mac food service dietitian, in conjunction with a clinical dietitian role.
