This presentation outlines the patient experience and outcomes of implementing a patient-directed bedside meal ordering solution in a specialised cancer care facility. The presenters will highlight how the adoption of technology to innovate foodservice, can engage the patient, and deliver a better experience and better outcomes for patients. In addition, they will share future plans of innovation to continue to deliver better outcomes to patients, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.

About the speakers:
Vicki Barrington is a Senior Lecturer at Latrobe University, and currently teaches Food Service Management to final year Dietetic students. From 2008-2017, Vicki worked as the Food Service Dietitian at Peter MacCallum cancer Centre. In 2016, Peter Mac relocated to a new site and Vicki played an integral role in designing and implementing a Bedside meal ordering system.
