In this episode we interview Australian ICU dietitian, Emma Ridley. Emma is a Senior Research Fellow and lead of the Nutrition Program at the ANZIC-RC, Monash University where she is responsible for the strategic development and leadership of the critical care nutrition research program. Emma completed her PhD in 2018 titled “Clinical and functional consequences of energy provided by nutrition in critically ill adults”. Her research interests include understanding the optimum way to determine energy requirements in the critically ill, including the clinical application of indirect calorimetry, as well as the effect of optimal nutrition delivery on short and long-term outcomes in ICU patients. Emma also continues to practice as a clinical dietitian in the ICU at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.
